Sample Photos + Videos for Cheyenne Jolene “Bodacious”

These are just some of the videos I’ve done in the past that are moreso vlog format but some music. But you can see the style of cinematography and editing. It’d be similar to what I’d make for you but nowadays I have better equipment and a better skills set. So the quality of work would be higher. And also depending on budget, we can bring on team members to scale up quality if you want. Or we can keep things simple - either way works.

I filmed a short “thank you” video with Elaine a few years back for a non-profit who paid for her treatment. At the end of the video she sang this song acapella and I overlaid it with some b-roll.

Later that year someone asked for a sample lyric video and I quickly whipped this one together since I already made the footage. I just needed to add the lyrics.

I’ve since learned much more creative ways to making video content that I think we could dream up some cool visualizers and lyric videos. I actually watch quite a few of them for our channel so I have some great inspo already in mind (but am open to more).

This is just a short vlog that I put together for the Patreon for K-Pop Crash Course. Sometimes we just go do random things and i cut videos to share with our audience.

This was specifically from an Korean Art Exhibit at LACMA where the curator/narrator’s voice was RM from BTS. So it was a cool experience to document, especially since both Allison and I (and our friend Shawn who came with us) all love art so much. We all work in the art industry so we love to be inspired.

Anyways, I included this because it has a few neat montage moments overlaid with music that tied into the storytelling. My freehand camerawork is a little shaky but I tried to smooth it over with editing. I’d probably invest in some sort of steady-cam for future shoots to ensure smooth camera movement.

This is a short promo video I made years ago to showcase some of the latest photoshoots I’ve done. Mostly behind-the-scenes types of shots pieced together against a song by Myzica. My friend gave me permission to use their song for this.

When it comes to producing and shooting a music video or teaser, I think there would be more planning and story boarding involved. It could either be narrative or performance based, but I’m sure we could make something cool!

With my background in fashion photography, I’ve learned how to plan and direct a shoot from start to finish. And I’ve only gotten better at post-production. Depending on budget, we can hire team members (hair & makeup, wardrobe stylist, cinematographer, etc).

I can work with a small team and/or scale to a bigger team. It really is up to you.

This is the tribute video I made for Elaine’s memorial service. I pieced this one together from clips that I received from people through Dropbox. I just really wanted to tell the full story of who Elaine was and how much she meant to people and how much her life was so much more than just cancer.

She loved music and people and laughing and dancing. And I needed it to come across on the screen.

Opening it up with band practice with you all was perfect. She filmed that herself and I just used it as bookends. And then I did some editing magic with all the clips, mixed in with footage that I took over the past couple years, and matched it with the music.

Anyways, I just wanted to showcase the editing here.

Here are some various photos from shoots over the years. Lots of images using natural light but some using studio lighting. I threw in a few lifestyle shots so that we can showcase some personality and stuff for social media … we honestly can get as creative as you want it to be. I tried to pull things that I felt were great for behind-the-scenes / creative process type shots. That way you can give people a sneak peek of how you work and make music.
